I’m a designer, photographer and maker.
Everywhere I go I find myself analysing type from the profiles of famous brands to samples found on takeaway leaflets pinned to car windscreens. I’d associate this with my conscious interest in design and typography. Design has the command to influence people, culture and events in the modern day. Through the communication of visual imagery and the advances in technology, graphic design has become one of the most diverse tools for communication.
Over the summer I was fortunate enough to gain internships at both Bond and Coyne and We Are 778. I was incredibly grateful for these opportunities as they gave me an incredible insight into the workings of the creative industry. As part of these placements, I was able to work on live briefs and take part in studio meetings. This experience also included a guided tour of Dayfold Print, an established print house based in Verwood, Dorset.
I am now currently in the final year of my degree studying BA (Hons) Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth. One of my biggest motives for this year is to create a sense of community within the creative industry. Collaboration with other inventive individuals is something I believe has the facility to make a real impact on today’s society.
